Bekeley Bird Behavior

What might appear to be two pieces of cat poop are two Anna's Hummingbirds face to face chirping at each other.

They were not injured. They flew away soon after this picture was taken.

Protesting Dog

There is a little furry speck in the center of this photo. That is Diego. He knows the difference between leaving the house to get something out of the car and leaving the house to get in the car and drive away. In the above case he knew I was planning to leave so he stood in that position for hours. If this were a video it would look the same except for the occasional passing car.

Well, it may have been hours if I hadn't given in and let him come with me.

Mini Cassette

I defy you to find a more portable music format than the mini cassette. There is enough tape pictured above to provide 6 hours of uninterrupted, except when you have to turn them over or change cassette, music. Those 6 cassettes combined are only slightly larger than the regular sized cassettes that you currently listen to. The player is smaller than even the smallest Sony Walkman. The players do not play in stereo but what do you need stereo for? Mine came with a single ear piece anyway; the kind dad used while listening to the game, sitting on a folding chair in the driveway.
Right now I am transferring my cumbersome record, cassette and mp3 collection onto these miniature wonders. I am going to need about 2000 more.

My friend Laurie pointed out that this house might be a duplex. One bush per tenant. With bushes like that, who needs curtains?
